Joan, I am researching the family of Benjamin and Catherine (Frain) Shetterl(e)y who were enumerated in the 1850 U.S. census in Greenwood Twp., Juniata Co., PA. Perhaps Benj. was related to your Michael and Daniel? Benjamin and Catherine's daughter Fianna (or "Frania") married George H. Rough in 1863 in Berrien Co., MI. I don't know if the parents also went to MI or if they stayed in PA or went elsewhere. In the 1850 census Benj. and Catherine were listed as aged 45 and 40, respectively, both b. PA. They had nine children: Eliza, 18; Mary, 17; George, 16; Sarah, 14; Susan, 12; "Frania", 10; Benjamin, 8; Levi, 6; and John, 2. All of the children were also b. PA. Do you know anything about this family and any connection to yours?
