My grandfather, Andrew Gerak from Vysoka, came to US and landed in Jefferson Co. from 1906 to app. 1917. A child Helen was born in Valier in 1902 (confirmed), Andrew (1910) and Julia (1908), Vera (1912-Conifer) were supposed to have been born in Horatio, PA. Grandpa was a coal miner and also worked on the railroads. Cannot find his name on 1910 census (by any derivation) and cannot find anything else on the family. Anyone have a clue about this family - cannot find any school records, birth or marriage records outside of Helen.
