Each shows John as a physician or surgeon living in Reynoldsville. The Social Security Death Index lists Darwin Sayers born 29 Aug 1908, died July 1968 and last lived in Reynoldsville. Since he was a doctor I figured he was probably one of the prominent men in the community. There is a nice write up and picture of him at this link.
