Census records for Charles E. Matthews do not have a wife Margie Bell Hanholt / Hannold. Could he have married twice. I am interested on more about the Matthews families because they seemed to be around various Taylor families in my families. I have thought there may be more relationships then I know. Besides the Name Matthews, there was a Mary Matthews b 1802 who married Joseph H. Syers / Siar / Sier and they lived in the Corsica area of Jefferson co. One of their daughters, Priscilla married James Taylor a brother of my great great grandfather.
Then an EMMA JANE MATTHEWS b Aug 8, 1868 Corsica, Union twp., Jefferson co., Pa. and died Marienville, Jenks twp., Forest co., Pa ( d/o Henry Matthews b abt 1826 supposedly in England, and wife Louisa May Garley / Carley, married Jacob Abijah Taylor Jr. (first and middle name used interchangeably in records) s/o Abijah Taylor and Ellen (Clark) who was a brother of James Taylor who married Priscialla Sier (and whose mother had been a Matthews). In hunting information on Jacob ABijah Jr and wife Emma Jane Matthews I found various records where Charles E. Matthews had been involved with them, sometimes as the Justice of the Peace (now District Magistrates). He seems to have been closely involved. Was he a brother of Emma Jane, other relative of her?

There is Hannold marriages in this family. James and Priscilla (Sier) Taylor's son, Gideon Hart Horsehite Taylor married Luzetta / Lusetta Hannold b 1872 in Clarion co. d/o Alexander Hannold and Mary Melissa nee Showers. Alexander and Mary Hannold also had a dau. Kitty Belle b 1872 who married an Allshouse. I have no further info on her.

Is it possible Emma Jane Matthews as also married to a Hannold? Or, was Charles E. Matthews married twice, and was a second wife a Bell or Hannold married name, or a maiden name.
Am interested in any info on all these families and will share mine.
Various Hannolds lived near and in Corsica area also. I am also descended from Hannolds via my father's line so have and am interested in any Hannold information and will share mine.
