Lois,
On the 1840 census, there was a column that you checked if you were receiving a federal pension for the Revolutionary War or other military service. It asks for your age and who you resided with at the time.
The results of this list was published in a book, that I don't have the name of right now because my computer crashed and I lost quite a bit of information.
I think that John Kirker was the only one from Rose Township, but I will see if I can find them in the census for 1840 and will let you know what I find.
