I found a marriage record in Indiana Co., PA for one of my distant cousins, Edna May Moore. Quote from my notes: First marriage to Robert Bisson prior to birth of daughter in 1919. Marriage to Alexander Perrquet in Indiana Co., license number 15530. I don't have an exact date but she was on the census with another in 1930. Divorce decree No. 1163, August Term, 1937, Nov., 15, 1937. Supposed marriage to Fred Smith invalid. He was married to Emily W. Slingsby in 1892 and continued to maintain a home in Universal, Allegheny Co., PA. Petition granted. Unquote The different spellings of Alex's surname has caused a lot of problems in finding him. This is his WWI Draft records. Quote: Alex Perequit City: Not Stated County: Westmoreland State: Pennsylvania Birth Date: 14 Nov 1898 Race: White Roll: 1926977 DraftBoard: 1 Unquote A man named Leonard Perruguit died recently and his obit is in the Pittsburgh online Tribune. It is the only time I've found this name Quote: Leonard E. Perruquet, 82, of Lantana, Fla., formerly of Greensburg, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, in Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Fla. He was born Feb. 1, 1926, in Greensburg, a son of the late Ceasar J. and Marie (Kosko) Perruquet. Unquote I can't tie them in with Alex at all and can't even find them on a 1930 census. I need someone to take my hand and guide me through this puzzling name research. Shirley Maynard Hampton, VA Notify Administrator about this message?
