Wolff-Miller families in Huntingdon Co.
Posted by: Rose Stubblefield (ID *****4444) Date: September 19, 2013 at 14:43:30
  of 1810

My great, great, grandfather's name was James Henry Wolff. He was born in Huntingdon Co., PA on 15 April 1832. He emigrated to Jefferson Co., IA in 1847 with his Grandmother Catharine Miller. She was born 11 February 1783 and died 25 Sept. 1854 in Jefferson Co., Iowa. I believe her husband's name began with a "J".

I was told that James' mother was Mary Miller who was born in VA around 1800. Catharine and J. Miller were her parents.

I was told that James Henry's father name could have been Daniel. I was also told that James was the youngest of several children.

My records have the last name spelled as Wolff but it could be spelled differently as Wolf, Wolfe, etc. They were of the Brethren faith.

Any information on James' ancestors or Mary Miller's ancestors would be appreciated.
