Hi again: I have 4 copies of that book...(there are a few errors in that but not many)
There is another book by a George Barr...that was take from one of the son's of Mary Wills Barr and Robert Barr..who came with them in 1790 from Ireland..it's his diary. In that diary he had written where his parents were buried...we found the exact location of this "Indian Cemetery less than 80 rods from the Old Homestead. Even found the location on Google Earth....had to look up how rods were measured and it is about 1/4 of a mile...and that is where this location is....Not many graves...and it's on private property you have to tread through a field....but like his book states it's view is of the old homestead....
I had written to George Barr maybe 12 years ago as there are many errors in the later generations and I sent him the correct info...got an answer from him that he was working on an edited book with many corrections in the later generations. But Mr. Barr was in his late 80's then so his book is now out of publication and there never was an edited one written....
Love this search, but a very distant cousin from Western MI went out and took photos of the old farm house. It not been occupied for probably over 25 years. Although it is still owned by a Barr family member and there are no trespassing signs all around the house. That did not stop her from going on the property and taking photos...I have copies of those...what a thrill that was...she is most likely going back there before I can make my trip next summer....Had some health issues and my last aunt (my fathers sister passed away just recently and my trips have been to visit her and then to her funeral over Labor Day weekend. The very last Barr on my fathers side.
Thank you so much for your assistance.
