I am looking for information on Joseph Osborn. Born supposedly in Scotland. But I think he was born in Gloucestershire, England. He came to America over a dispute with his father's will. Came to America 1787 with a new born baby Joseph Junior born 1787. Came into Philadelphia and went across country to Huntington and then up to Barre Township.

I think he was in search of the Shaver's Creek Presbyterian Church there. He was either going to preach in it or help set it up as he was one of the very first deacons of the church.

He is supposed to have died shortly after arriving. I do not know if the weather got to him or he might have had a heart attack building his house out of logs or what.

Little Joseph Junior was supposed to have gone under the guardianship of a very close family, which I think were the Philip Kinter family.

All of this taking place from the summer of 1787 to approximately 1790 or so. Joseph Sr. is only mentioned when the Shaver's Creek Presbyterian Church is mentioned.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much
Earl S. Osborn Jr.
