I'm looking for the brithplace of Jonathan Griffin, b 1819. In the 1850 US census and 1855 NT census it says he was born in Greene Co..but there are no records of him in Greene Co, NY, until 1850...there are some deeds in 1845..he was buying land. Now I wonder if he was from Greene Co. PA. I found a John Griffin in 1820 US census in Greene Co PA with 2 children the right age. Just a long shot..
