Hi Elizabeth:
I don't have a lot of info on John Montgomery other than he died in Greene Co., Pennsylvania December 28, 1843.
John married Sarah Whitlatch, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Whitlatch. Sarah was born May 9, 1800 and died August 19, 1853.
Children of John and Sarah Whitlatch Montgomery were:
1. Elizabeth Montgomery, born abt. 1817 in Pennsylvania, died February 1, 1908 in Ozark, Monroe Co., Ohio. She married Nathaniel Wiley January 3, 1850. He was born October 4, 1826 in Harford, Maryland and died November 1, 1909 in Barnsville, Ohio. They had 10 children.
2. Mary Jane Montgomery, born abt. 1829.
3. William Montgomery, born abt. 1831.
4. Nancy Montgomery, born abt. 1832, died March 15, 1894 in Wood Co., West Virginia. She married Thomas I. Whitlatch, her first cousin July 31, 1851. Thomas was born May 3, 1830 in Greene Co., Pennsylvania and died April 28, 1898 in Wood Co., West Virginia. They had 10 children.
5. Dorcus Montgomery, born July 6, 1838 in Greene Co., Pennsylvania. She married John L. Rowley January 2, 1859 in Wood Co., West Virginia. They had 11 children.
