Looking for any information on John Manning who married Elizabeth Hughes d/o Thomas and Margaret Hughes of the Jefferson are of Greene Co. According to Leakey, the moved to the Ben Stites settlement on the Ohio river and then to Kentucky shortly after their marriage in 1788? The will of Thomas Hughes seems to confirm this. Any information on John, especially parents, siblings would be appreciated. John was supposedly previously married to Sarah Shawhan who died in the area. Anything on their children? Sarah's grave? Am also interested in Anna Kearn? Kerns? who was married to Nathan Penn. Anna died Abt 1909 in the West Union area so it could have been Greene or Washington County. Any information will be much appreciated.
