Corbly Indian attack
Posted by: Steve Deahl Date: March 10, 2002 at 06:49:04
  of 1583

I'm seeking info about the Indian attack on the family of Rev. John Corbly which occurred May 10, 1782. The attack took place along the banks of Muddy Creek, but my sources have me confused as to whether the Muddy Creek indicated is the one in Greene Co., PA, or the one in Preston Co., WV. After the attack, the stricken family was taken into a fort. Would this have been Garard's Fort? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
