Caroline, The Cornerstone Genealogical Society is a Genealogy group that has a LARGE collection upstairs of the Bowlby Library in Waynesburg, Pa It is on West St. It is a wonderful group of volunteer members.
Where are you from? If not too far It would be well worth a visit. The volunteer staff is the best I have ever seen, and I have been to many in the tri-state area. There hours are I believe Mon-Fri. 1:00 p.m.-4:00 and Sat. 10:00p.m -3:30 Their address is P.O. Box 547 Waynesburg, PA. 15370. The society is moving some time this spring to a new location on Greene Street. Waynesburg. We have one of the oldest log cabin courthouse in United States that is being fully restored and the 4th of July is scheduled for the dedication. The new location for the society is a new addition to the rear of the log cabin courthouse. It looks like it is moving on wonderfully as the fall has been mild and it looks great.
The Society answers request. most people send a donation. I have been there many times and have seen the group answer many letters and calls to people. they have a membership also $20. a year which includes a newsletter every other month meetings are second Tuesday on each month except Dec. at Washington St United Methodist Church at 7:00 p.m open to public.
Caroline, I can try to scan the photo of Throckmorton home and send it if you like. I also have back issues of the clues stored I can look up any thing on the Throckmorton's. My husband has family that married into the Throckmorton's from the Ely and Scott line.
