Sorry,it's not any kind of help for you,but I thought you might like to know this..My grandfather was supposedly named after a friend of the family- My grandfathers name was John Flowers Clark...his father was James Brandt Clark of Waynesburg..(my gr.was born in 1890) I am searching for my Clark side. My father was the one who told me about his name- I will ask him if he knows anything about your John Flowers next time I see him- and I will (hopefully) get back to you. Please also know-my grandfather died when my father was only 11,so this also hard for him to remember.
