I have some information on Thomas Bowen, born in Wales in 1747. Married Nancy Agnes Cree (aka Crea), also born in Wales in 1751. They were married in 1768 in New London Twshp, Chester Co. Pa., and settled in Greene County. They are buried in Dunkard Twshp., Greene County. Thomas's second wife was Elizabeth Spicer, famous for having been captured by indians during the Spicer Massacre. She was released after being held for a year and one half.
Children of Thomas and Nancy were: George, Robert, Sarah, Alexander, Elizabeth and Isaiah (my ancester). Children of Thomas and Elizabeth Spicer were: Spicer Bowen, Corbley, Mary, William, Thomas and Nancy Agnes.
Do any of these names hit with your family? I am interested in more Bowen information from Greene County, as most of my information comes from Missouri, where Isaiah moved to after Pa.
Robert P. Bowen
