Thomas Cleveland MORRIS (1886-1960) was the son of Simon Peter Morris and Minerva Boone. He married Goldie Dell Wood (1892-1939) and lived most of his life in Greene Co., PA. Thomas and Goldie had 4-6 (or more) children and I can definitely identify 4 of them: Georgia (b. 1909) married Millard Stockdale; Helen Louise (b. 1919) married Nicholas Babish and Clyde Lewis; Thomas Carlswood (1922-1964) married Flora Levon Wassum and ??; and Harold R. Morris (1931- 1968). There may have been two other children: Lewis Morris and Stockdale Morris. Both are supposed to be buried in the Higgins Cemetery in Jackson Twp., Greene Co., PA. But I have no idea when they were born or died.
I have obits. for Thomas Cleveland and Goldie Dell and have been able to identify them, their parents and the first four children named above in the U.S Census for 1910 and 1920 and in several online genealogies. But I have not been able to identify ANY member of the family in the 1930 census. I assume that their name may have been misspelled or they may have been missed altogether.
It is quite possible that Lewis Morris and Stockdale Morris were born after 1930, but I have no clue.
Can someone help me with this family?
The MORRISes are my wife's family and I have an extensive database on the family descended from Robert Morris (1736-1829). This Robert Morris moved to Greene Co., PA from NJ and is NOT the signer of the Constitution.
Willing to share information.
Bill Muller (married to a Morris)
