Henry Morris (1835-1924) and Emily Ann Waters (1839-1921) of Cumberland Twp., Greene Co., PA had three children: Elizabeth (b. 1860), George (b. 1869), and Samuel (1875). Elizabeth and Samuel apparently never married and lived with their parents. I can trace them thru the census up to 1920 (so far).
George, on the other hand, did appear to have married (maybe twice) and had several children. In the 1900 census for Cumberland Twp., Greene Co., PA, George is listed as a 36 year old (1864) farm laborer. His wife is named Myrtle (age 26) and they have three children: Bub, age 5; Lloyd, age 3; and Melvin, age 1. They were married in 1893 and had 5 children, but only three were still alive in 1900. I have not be able to identify Myrtle and the children in the 1910 census.
In the 1910 census, there is a George Morris, age 41 (1869), living next door to Henry. George has a wife, Della M., age 30; and two children: Emalian, age 10; and Flora G., age 3.
In the 1920 census, George (b. 1869 in PA) and Della (Adelia) (b. 1883 in PA) appear to have moved to the 18th Ward of Cleveland, OH, but the children are nowhere to be found.
QUESTIONS: Are these the same George Morris?
IF so, what happened to Myrtle and the three children from 1900? And what happened to the two children from the 1910 census.
IF they are different George Morris's, where is the George Morris, son of Henry, in the 1900 census (assuming that the 1910 listing is correct)?
My wife is a MORRIS, descended from Robert Morris (not the signer) of NJ and Greene Co., PA. Willing to share information.
