In Reply to: Cox Family by Timothy Cox of 1584

1900 census:

Ellis was a day laborer in South Franklin Twp., Greene County, PA.; wife: Mary J.; children: 4 - names are hard to read-not a clear copy.

1910 census:

They lived in Whitely Twp., Greene County, PA and he was listed as a farmer. Had 8 children-7 living: Harry N., Merril, Oakle, Jessie S., Frederick, Arthur A. and Bessie.

1920 census:

They lived in Mather, Morgan Twp., Greene County and he was listed as a laborer. Six children were listed and there is now a six year old, Sarah M.

Interesting:

There was a Charles Ellis Cox born 18 September 1885 Wayne Twp., Greene County, PA, and died 11 December 1955. Married Sarah Jane Cumberledge in 1909.

Hope this helps.
