From my notes on the ADAMS family of Greene County Pennsylvania Archibald H. Adams & wife deeded 53 & 3/4 acres on Wheeling Creek in 1862 to Eli Jacobs. Record can be found in Greene County Deeds Vol 142 Page 536 Recorded May 28, 1903. In the same year, 1862, Eli Jacobs and wife deeded 233 & 1/2 acres in Aleppo Township to Archibald H. Adams. Record can be found in Greene County Deeds Vol 62 page 148 Recorded June 7, 1897. In 1865 Archibald H. Adams and wife deeded 17 acres 32 perches to Daniel G. Jacobs. Record can be found in Greene County Deeds Vol57 page 258 Recorded June 19, 1895 I do not have a copy of this deed and have no further information on the Jacobs family but would be interested in knowing the location of these pieces of land and a relationship if any between the ADAMS & JACOBS families. The 53 & 3/4 acres on Wheeling Creek was deeded to Archibald Adams by his father Jacob Adams. Jacob was a millwright and he and Archibald were millers so it is highly likely that there was a mill on this site. Notify Administrator about this message?
