Thank you for the reply. I briefly mentioned some information on my family in my last post.

I am very interested in what your husband may know about his Laucher family. From what I understand we are related.

I remember an Uncle Otto who lived in PA. I visited him as a child with my mother. His wife's name was Ruth and if I remember correctly she was called Aunt Sis. She used to make the best potato salad. Funny the things you remember from your childhood.

Anyway, I have always been told that my G Grandfather Charles had a son who died in the mine explosion. My mother seems to think Charles had brothers who died in the explosion as well, but I have found nothing to indicate that he did. My G Grandfather died a little more than a month after the explosion. He died in Jan 1963.

What I do know about my g grandfather is this....He was born 28 Jan 1888 in Salszburg Austria. He came to the US in 1910 (though, my mother says he came here, then returned to Austria and then came back to the US).

In closing, my mother Cecilia (Baardse) Wilkins was born in Washington DC. All of us currently live in MA. I would love to any information you would be willing to share.
