The 1850 United State Census for Fulton County, Pennsylvania - Volume 10, 1988 - Fulton County Historical Society lists: "TAYLOR TOWNSHIP - Free inhabitants in Taylor Township in the County of Fulton State of Pennsylvania enumerated by me on the 30th day of September (to 3rd day of October) 1850, John C. Fletcher, Ass't Marshal. T93 - STEVENS, James, 28, farmer; Ruth, 27; Jane, 8; Elizabeth, 6; Frederick, 5; James, 3; Sarah A., 1; Adam, 2/12. 1860 CENSUS FOR LICKING CREEK TOWNSHIP shows STEVENS, Elizabeth 16 Dom. and Margaret 9, living/working at household LC1050 - TICE, Geo R 40 farmer; Elizabeth 51; John 20 farmer; Martin 18 farmer; Geo 16 farmer. LC1051 - STEVENS, James 40 farmer; Jane 18 Dom; David 4; Martha E 7." 1870 Census for Taylor Township shows a:STEVENS, James K, 27, MW, Farmer; Margaret 23, FW, keepinghouse; Gilmer, 2, MW; Alice, 4/12, FW, born in February. (This "could" be the James that was age 3 in the 1850 census). There is also listed another in the 1870 Census for Taylor Township. He is: STEVENS, Jamison, 25, MW, carpenter, wed in April to Anna, 20, FW, at home, wed April. They are living with the Abraham Witter family. Abraham being 84, MW, farmer with Catherine, age 65, FW, keepinghouse and Alice Witter, age 16, FW, at home. Another JAMES V. STEVENS is listed in Taylor Township at age 21, MW, farmer with his wife Elizabeth, age 22, FW, keepinghouse. There are two David Stevens listed in Taylor Township for 1870. DAVID STEVENS, age 12, MW, at home, living with JAMES DEAVER age 61, MW, farmer and CAROLINE MILLER, age 17, FW, Domestic Servant, her parents being foreign born. DAVID STEVENS, age 43, MW. farmer; Margaret age 38, FW, keepinghouse; William age 9, MW; Samuel age 2, MW; and SMITH, Florence, age 13, FW. Hope this is helpful.
