Obits. of Revolutionary Veterans from The Franklin Repository published in Chambersburg, PA. Issue Date: April 20, 1824.

Died on the 14th ult. at the residence of his son in Letterkenny Township, in the 89th year of his age, Mr. WILLIAM KIRKPATRICK, having lived near 86 years in the said township. His father was killed by the Indians the year after Braddock's defeat, the son being at the same time enlisted as a doldier for the protection of the settlement of PA against the Indians. He took an active part in the Revolutionary War; was in camp under Washington at Princeton, Trenton & New Brunswick.
