Seeking any information on, and descendents of Jacob Abijah Taylor (records have his first and middle name used interchangeably) and wife Emma Jane Matthews. I believe her name was Matthews and that she was dau of Henry Matthews and Louisa May Garley / Carley.
In the 1870 & 1880 census Limestone twp., Clarion co. he was listed respectively as Jacob A. age 8 and then as Abijah J., age20, Corsica, Pa. with his widowed step-mother; In 1904 a brother's obituary says he is living at Hallton, (Spring Creek twp., Elk Co.,) Pa. 1917 living Marianville, Jenks twp., Forest Co., Pa. according to daughter Clara Emma's marriage application & consent signed by parent. 1920 census Jacob A. Taylor, owns, with mortg., age 58, mar, r/w, b Pa., laborer in woods; residing with wife, Emma J., 52, b Pa., & 1 child, Mary M.; d-i-l, Cora J. & 2 grandch, Jacob W. & Charles N. in Jenks twp., Forest co., Pa., Roll: T625_1571, Pg 10B, # 214, A married daughter, Daughter Clara L. & husband, Albert Blymiller & their son, Orval E. were also living in Jenks twp., Forest co., Pa.
