Just found a small clue on a long standing brick wall: Jacob B. Sloop, b. 15 Aug 1798, Redstone, PA. Searching for his parents. Any information or suggestions appreciated. Jacob is in Cincinnati, OH by 1803, age 5yrs. Because of so many courthouse fires in Cincinnati, early records are sparse. Other Sloop family members I think that are related are Samuel Sloop b. PA 1804, Mary Sloop Lape, born Maryland 1789, John Sloop, b. Maryland, and Hiram Sloop b. 1806.
