I am the daughter of David Edward Johnson who was born and raised in German Township/Masontown. He was son of Phillip Edward and Lela Mae Phillips Johnson. Phillip Edward was son of David Ray Johnson. I am trying to find out who Lela Mae Phillips parents may have been. Her father sold her into bondage and she refused to ever give any information about him. I remember as a child attending some Johnson Honsaker family reunions. If you are familiar with any of these families, especially if you are related, I would like to hear from you. We moved to California when I was 10, and lost contact with all family except dad's sister, Nellie Irene Johnson Kelly Kramer. I have been unable to find indenture records for Fayette County by looking on line. Will visit Uniontown next summer.
