Dear Lawrence, I am interested in you reference to Hartman. My gr gr grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Hartman. She married in Washington Co PA 1838 Uriah Henderson. They lived up until 1850 at Dunbar Fayette Co PA. I have believed her father to have been a Adam (Wm) Hartman but I am not sure. Another possibility is that it could have been a David. I believe she had a brother Morgan Hartman. He lived in W.Pike Run, Beallville and Millsboro twps in Washington Co PA (right on the border of Fayette Co). Could you tell me if you have any information on Hartmans in Fayette that may be of help to me?
