In the 1930 United States Census for Erie, Erie Co., PA,
Katherine is listed at age 26 and Alise (spelled like that) is
24, so they must have married later than the time of the census.

Twenty years prior, the US Census for Erie, Ward 1, shows an Ellen Shea living with the family. She is 66 and I assume that she is Ernest J.'s mother.

PS My paternal grandparents were born in Erie County, my grandfather in Waterford and grandmother in Edenboro.
