Glad I could help. Perhaps by tracking down his siblings you might be able to find more on the family. The Erie County Historical Society and Erie County Library might be able to help you.

The census doesn't indicate there was a wife before Bridget so it might be problematic. Death certificates are only as accurate as the knowledge of the informant. I wonder if the informant got his sister's married name mixed up with his mother's maiden name. Knowing Bridget's maiden name might help.
