James Hall of Girard, Erie Co., PA

Looking for any help on identifying the James Hall, born say 1795-1802, who resided in (per his daughter's obituary) Girard until 1845, when he left for Tippecanoe Co., Indiana. He had children by the 1830 & 1840 censuses, but there are no matches in Girard. If he had other children by a first or second wife, he may be the person in Union Twp., Erie Co., in 1830, but there is no match in 1840. Of his three known children, James, Sarah & Arke, none are found in 1850 census, though all were alive. Thank you for any help, direction or clues.
