Oliphant in Girard, Erie. Church records pre 1885?

I believe an Isabell Oliphant (b.1848 Can) married George Senyard (b.1836 Eng) in Girard in c1867.
I understand the County Records only start in 1885 BUT do the local churches still hold their records of marriage from earlier years?

The couple were living in Girard with their son George (aged 3) in the 1870 census.
The Oliphant family were in Girard in 1850 & 1860.
