Hello,

I am Kathy Rigard (Davis). I am from St. Marys - born 1948. I don't remember your Father. I left St. Marys in 1970 and moved to Boston. I also had a brother, Bill (born 1946 died 1988)- maybe my brother knew your Father. My brother would have been 60 this year.

I don't know of any of the other Rigards that you mentioned. My father was Vincent - his father was Michael and his mother was german - I can't remember the spelling of her last name. My father was one of 10 children - all are dead but 3 (Gerry, Pickles and Genny).

I spoke to my Mother and she is talking to my father's brother. I know that they would be glad to research this for you - my Mother helped with her family tree. She does not have email - just uses the computer to play games. She is 82.

I was hoping that we could find some relatives still in France. I went to Paris, Lyon and Nice with my Mother in 1999 and I loved it there.

I can't believe that Anthony and Alleck ended up in St. Marys, PA. It is such a small town. I did read that the Franco-Prussian War was in 1870-1871 so that may be why they left Alsace-Lorraine. I don't know much about European History but is also said that the treaty of Versailles was the most importan treaty of the Peace of Paris when Germany had to return Alsace-Lorraint to France.

Well, I will talk with my Mother and ask her is she remembers any of the people that you mentioned. I guess that Anthony was Michael's father and my Great Grandfather.
