Hi Kathleen. I would say that we are most definitely related. My father is Richard- born in New York but he visited Saint Mary's frequently. He is now in his 60s. (I am not sure of your age). My grandfather was Aloysius Rigard (born in 1903 in St. Mary's.) He married Mary Hayes, also born in Saint Mary's. His father was John Rigard, who I believe to be the eldest son of Anthony Rigard and Anna Marie Goetz. Your Michael was also the son of Anthony and Anna Marie Goetz. I searched Census records to find that information. I have the siblings, spouses, children, etc... of Anthony and Anna Maria Goetz. I didn't have a Vincent listed for them though so I am missing information. I have six children down for them. (according to census records from around 1920.) I also have cemetery records for all Rigards buried in Saint Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery. I would be absolutely thrilled to exchange information with you. I have detailed information on my family, all except for my father's side. My father and his sister do not have a lot of information about the Rigard family. I was actually going to send a letter to all of the Rigards in Saint Mary's but then I thought that no one would respond. I would love to know more about this branch of the family tree. I will ask my dad if he knew your dad. In the 1970s I went to Saint Mary's for a family reunion. I really do not remember very much except that it was in a cabin in the woods. I had stitches in my foot so my dad had to carry me all over the place. I hope to hear from you soon. I have it set up that I will be notified when a message is left here for me.
