Allen R. Wonderling Sr., 66 of 230 Montmorenci Avenue,
Ridgway, and formerly of Holiday, Florida, died
Thursday at his residence following an illness of the
past several months.

He was born October 29, 1938, in Dagus Mines, son of
the late Ray and Angeline Snyder Wonderling.

On April 15, 1961, in St. Boniface Church, Kersey, he
married Bonita Jean McMackin, who preceded him in
death September 21, 2001.

He is survived by a daughter, Colleen (Mrs. William)
Nortum of Ridgway; a son, Allen R. Wonderling Jr., and
his wife, Lisa, of Oldsmar, Florida; three
grandchildren, A.J. Wonderling, Heather Edwards, Reece
Nortum; four sisters, Ruby (Mrs. Milton) Gray of
Force, ValJean (Mrs. Lamont) Gray of Weedville,
Beverly (Mrs. Ed) Gray of Weedville, Sherry (Mrs.
Gary) Moyer of Kersey; two brothers, Ward Wonderling
and his wife, Judy, of Toby, and Roger Wonderling and
his wife, Geneva, of Ridgway.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded
in death by a son, Michael at birth; and two sisters,
Lindola Holjencin and Joyceyn Hau.

Mr. Wonderling was a graduate of Kersey High School,
class of 1957. He had lived in Florida the past 12
years and returned to Ridgway in 2004. He was a member
of St. Leo's Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army,
having served during the Vietnam War, a member of the
National Guard and was a member of Dagus Mines
American Legion.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Allen R. Wonderling Sr.
will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church Monday
at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. John Kuzilla, pastor,
officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by
the Fox Township Servicemen's Burial Detail. Burial
will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home
Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorials may be made to
the Family House, 233 McKee Place, Pittsburgh, Pa.
