Haven't found anything yet about the Pearson family but have new info about Ira Nippes. In the back of my mind I kept coming up with the name Ira Nippes but it didn't "hit home" until I found a newspaper clipping dated March 9, 1974 - Ridgway Record. It was a brief write-up about a play which had been presented at the Ira Nippes Auditorium. Wham!
The auditorium was located in the Ridgway High School I attended in the 50's. My brother, also a graduate of the same High School told me the auditorium was named after Ira S. Nippes who probably had been a school board member but his occupation was Engineer for the Ridgway Elliott Company. Possibly he had 3 boys and one girl. Daughter Peggy Nippes married Guy Findley of Ridgway. I'm not certain of the date the Elliott closed but I believe it was in the ate 1950's. Many of the former employees found jobs in Connecticut. Possibly that's when Paul Nippes left Ridgway. Its'likely Ira S. Nippes died in Ridgway prior to the Elliott closing.
Perhaps this info will lead you into the Peterson genealogy.
