What happened to Berks Twp in Dauphin County?

I've been looking at old tax records from Dauphin County and I see from 1785-1787 a tax record for Bethel Twp, Dauphin County. I can't find that township in Dauphin County now. Can someone tell me in what county I'll find old Bethel Twp? Thanks so much.
