James Barrett was born 1818 in Harrisburg so stated on his death certificate. He is buried in Columbiana County, Oh.
His father was John Wheten Barrett and his mother was Margaret LKU, born in Wurtemburg, Germany. I don't know where John was born. All I know if the death cert is correct they were in Harrisburg in 1818 and in Columbiana County, Oh in 1823 when their second son was born. By 1830 they were in Beaver County, Pa. I was just hoping there may have been other Barretts in Dauphin County that I could research to see if they tied in with my Barretts. Maybe some census, death, burials, anything. When you hit a brick wall you have to try to either go through it or around it. Wheten may have been his mothers maiden name since it is an unusual middle name. Also James middle name was Ayres, again maybe a maiden name for his mother.
