If you are researching the SHOTT and STRAW FAMILIES of PA. & DEKALB, ILLINOIS, please visit the below listed website to see photos of MARY KATHERINE "KATE" STRAW SHOTT, taken ENDERS, PA. (later DEKALB, ILL.) and a photograph identified as the SHOTT BOYS which came with the photo of KATHERINE.
I have researched these photos extensively and there is quite a bit of genealogy listed with the photos so I won't elaborate to much in this posting.
PHOTO 1 = MARY KATHERINE "KATE" STRAW was born July 17, 1859 to LEVI STRAW (1839-1909) & ELIZABETH WHITMAN STRAW (1834-1916). MARY KATHERINE married HENRY IRVIN SHOTT born 1852, Pa. in 1877. The photograph was probably taken sometime in the late 1890's because they were living in Mayfield, DeKalb, ILL. by 1900.
PHOTO 2 = Two young boys that have been identified as the SHOTT BOYS. My belief is that these are the 2 sons of WILLIAM J. SHOTT and his first wife (name not known) who died prior to 1910 because WILLIAM was living with his brother in 1910 DeKalb, ILL. and these 2 boys (LESTER ANDREW born abt. 1906 and HENRY SHOTT born abt. 1905) were living with their grandparents (HENRY & MARY KATHERINE SHOTT) in DeKalb, ILL. in 1910 (both) and 1920 (only Lester).
