McCutcheon, Nigh (or Nye), Barnet - 1750s

Looking for any info pertaining to Samuel McCutcheon who purchased land in Cumberland in 1750s. He married Catherine Barnet. Looking for Barnet info also. Who was Catherine's father? Where did Barnets/McCutcheons come from? Which port of arrival? An Alexander McCutcheon married Mary Magdalena Nigh in that same vicinity. Any info on the Nigh family greatly appreciated. We are at the proverbial brick wall on Samuel McCutcheon & Catherine Barnet, and have been for a long time. Need help or suggesions. Have not found Samuel Mc on any ship lists arriving in the 1700s. Any help very much appreciated. Am aware of county name changes.
