William Douglass - Born in Scotland 1739-and died in Cumberland County 1831

I am looking to clarify some conflicting information.

I found in the DAR linage book Vol.99 that William Douglass Married a Nancy Laird. But on many family trees I have found that he was married to a Mary (last name unknown).

here is the link to the DAR Page:

My information states that William was born Mar 1739 in Scotland and died 1831 in Frankford Twp, Cumberland Co., PA
and his wife was Nancy Laird who was born abt 1740 in Scotland and died 1821 in Cumberland Country, PA.

Now on other trees I have see that they have this:

William Douglass
Born 1741 in Scotland
Death: 10 DEC 1833 in Carlisle, Cumberland Co., PA

Who Married:

Mary (Last Name Unknown)
Birth: 1748
Death: Est 1785-1843 in West Pennsboro, Cumberland CO, PA

As both sets of information state that William had a son George who married a Grizzelda Mckeehan.

These two links states George's mother was Nancy Laird:

and this link here states it was unknown Mary:

This is the link for William's will:

The will mentions his six children, Jane, John, Margaret, Nancy, George and Anne. The will was written June 9, 1830, and proven January 14, 1832.

To add to my confusion I found that in the trees that claim Unknown Mary was the mother of George, its states that his son was named "William George" but in my info that says Nancy Laird was the mother, George is just listed as George. The will I read also names a son as George.

Also I noticed that the will was witnessed by a JAMES LAIRD, who I would presume to be William's Brother-in-Law. But I haven't found anything to corroborate this.

Can some shed some light on this mess for me?
