Hi, Bob,
I'm actually starting to think that that BROUGHER line never was a BRAUCHER line and that their lineage is Irish. Of course, they could have been German before they were Irish. Way back when the Protestants were fleeing Europe and going to England for sanctuary the Queen offered them the chance to go to Northern Ireland and some took her up on it. I read an article on how the German's blended right in within one generation passing. Have you ever heard of BROUGHER Mountain in Ireland? Then I read a biographical item on a BROUGHER in either IN or IL and it said that his ancestors were of Irish descent. This was about six months ago. I was going to try and backtrack the guy's family but got side-tracked with something else. If I find the info I will get in touch with you.
