Looking for the families of George W. DEWALT b ca 1772 and Elizabeth EMERY b bef 1775.
I do NOT know where they come from, but recent leads suggest the Cumberland/Adams Co area, and I've found those names in the county in the 1700s. So I'm hoping someone can help me break down my brick wall!
George and Elizabeth had 8 known children, the first 2-3 appear to have been b in VA, and he remaining in Jefferson/Harrison Co, OH (SE OH). They were in OH by NLT 1805.
Children are Samuel, John, Elizabeth, Christianna, Nathaniel, Mary, William and Rebecca.
