Capt Robert & Elizabeth McCullough King 1773
Posted by: Doris Dickerson (ID *****1314) Date: May 03, 2007 at 04:30:38

Robert King came to America when about six years of age [1754] and is on the Militia list at Fort Augusta in 1765. He married Elizabeth McCullough in Cumberland 1773. Elizabeth was born there in 1756. (She is either a neice or daughter of the McCullough family that had sons taken by the Indians.)
Later when Capt Robert is wounded with head injury during War-they move to Carlisle where their son Thomas is born.
Living in Carlisle is a James & Elizabeth Livingston McCullough family. (Maybe connection - as they are listed as having a daughter Elizabeth)
