HOYT family

I am researching the HOYT family, especially the 12 daughters of Beriah and Lois (Ormsby) HOYT. One of them is Sally, my ggg-grandmother. Rhoda Hoyt was married to Samuel W. KNOX. I believe Rhoda is one of the 12 daughters but I am looking for documentation. I know nearly nothing of Rhoda, but the 1860 census of Conneautville PA indicates she was born in VT about 1814. This birthplace and dating jive with other known siblings so far. Rhoda died sometime after the 1860 census (taken on June 1), and before the listing of her estate on 20 Nov 1861. I only have two small tidbits of info:

(1) In 1850 census an Adeline Hoyt lives with them. Adeline is noted as deaf and dumb. Adeline is found in 1860 with Edson A. and Fanny Phelps (Fanny Hoyt),living back in Malone NY (a town where the large Hoyt family had lived). In 1870 Adeline, again noted as deaf and dumb, is living with William Merriam, her nephew. (Wm. Merriam is son of Lucy Hoyt and husband Silas Merriam). Fanny Hoyt Phelps and Lucy Hoyt Merriam are sisters of my Sally.

(2) Rhoda and Samuel Knox had a daughter, Mary Jane. In a record of Ohio deaths, Mary Jane's parents are listed as Samuel Knox and Rhoda "Ormsby". Although this is incorrect, the maiden name of Rhoda's mother was Lois Ormsby. Easy mistake to make on a death certificate.

Any more clues are greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Margaret Jenstad
