You may have some difficulty in your search for an 1853 marriage record. Except for a brief period, Pennsylvania did not require marriage licenses/records until 1885. Titusville did not have a newspaper at that time, either. If the family was Catholic, you might contact St. Titus Church in Titusville, as some of their records date to that period.
