Hi Natasha,

Actually, I'm in Columbia County, Pennsylvania as I type this, part of my annual trek this way from the midwest.

At this point, I'm still not at all clear as to who Catherine Rishel, and her family, was/were, other than that she married Anthony Bachert in 1807, baptised 5 of their 7 children with him at Ben Salem Church, Penn Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania between 1808 and 1821, she divorced from Anthony in 1824, and then died sometime before 7 January 1830 in Columbia County.

The Orphan's Court records refer to her as "Catherine Rishel, late Catherine Baughert", and then name her children, one of which is my 2nd great grandmother, Mary (Bachert) Hittle.

I'm beginning to suspect that Rishel may have been her name from a subsequent marriage sometime after the tax list was completed in 1828, in which she is enrolled in both Mount Pleasant and in Madison Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania

I do not know of a Margaret Rishel whose life intersected with Catherine.

Here's hoping you find something more definitive than that!
