Joseph Buckalew was the s/o Samuel Buckalow, b. 1696, NJ, d. 1792, (Mary Campbell). Samuel was the s/o Francis Buckalow, b. abt. 1640, who came with his bro. Gilbert Boileau to LI, NY. Joseph's bro. John, b. 4/14/1743, m. Maretje "Mary" McKinney, d/o Mordecai Mckinney, (Antje "Agnes" Bodine), and they were early settlers at Muncy Twp., (present Lycoming Co., PA) until driven out by the British and Indians. They were later at Chillesquaque, PA.
