Thank you! Edward and Samuel are father and son. I believe Samuel was born around 1866 or 1867 (Edward had no son Edward that I know of). I'll ask my mother if she remembers the name of the other adult woman in the picture; my recollection is that she was a sister of Samuel. In searching the 1880 Census, I found an Edward and Samuel Moore (father and son) in New York City who match the 1832 DOB for Edward and 1866 DOB for Samuel, but I have nothing else that would suggest they are the same people. I'd love to be able to trace Edward back to Ireland, but I have no idea where his family was from (probably the north because they were Protestant). I can find my Catholic German ancestors quite easily via church records. Stephanie (I'm in Morgantown, WV)
