Dr. H. A. Blair, Curwensville, Succumbs at 74

CURWENSVILLE—Dr. Harold Albert Blair, 74, a physician here
for the past 45 years, died in the Clearfield Hospital today at 5:45 a. m.

Dr. Blair, who resided at 334 State street, was prominent in Curwensville community life. He was the first president of the Curwensville Rotary Club and a past noble grand of the F. and A. M. Lodge here.

He was also a member of the Clearfield County Medical Society and the American Medical Association.

He was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church and had been a member of the church board of trustees for years.

A 1902 graduate of Pennsylvania State College he was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Medical College in 1906 and opened his practice in
Curwensville in 1907.

He was born in Bellefonte September 29, 1879, a son of
Franklin P. and Mary Entwistle Blair.

His wife, Henrietta, two children, John and Elizabeth, and a brother, Fred, preceded him in death.

Surviving him are three children: Ann and Mrs. Jack B.
(Mary)Smith, both of Cleveland, 0.; and Mrs. Eugene A.
(Henrietta)Dambly, Wellsboro; a broth- [Pg. 3]er, Russell of State College, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the Lininger Funeral Home in Curwensville with Rev. Ezra L. Parks, who is substituting for Rev. A. C. Cleaver, officiating.

Interment will be Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday and Monday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9:30 p. m. and Tuesday until time of services.
