NASCHINSKI & JANKOVITZ - 1904 Munson
Posted by: Susan Date: June 02, 2001 at 07:15:54
  of 1067

Johann NASCHINSKI sailed from Antwerp 6 Feb 1904 on the S. S. Kroonland. He arrived at the Port of New York on 17 Feb 1904. Information includes:
age - 45 years 4 months; married; occupation - miner; able to read & write - yes; nationality (country of last permanent residence) - Germany; race or people (stock from which you sprang) - Polish; city of last residence - Erle; final destination - Jacob JANKOWITZ, Munson, Clearfield Co., PA.

Apparently, Johann spent some time in the mines of PA before moving to the mining community of Frank, Alberta, Canada where he lived in 1911. He finally settled in Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL.

Would like to hear from anyone researching Jacob Jankowitz or anyone who might have information on Johann Naschinski. I'm also interested in info on the mines that would have been operating in the Munson area in 1904.
